The sloppy and juicy cheesesteak you know and love but healthy!
Nutrition:
Cashew cheese is an optimal alternative to the regular cheese and an excellent choice if you are following a vegan or a vegetarian diet. It is made with cashew nuts (kernels) that contain good amounts of protein, vitamin B12, iron, zinc and magnesium. They are a complete source of protein and they contain vitamin B12, which is usually difficult to find in vegan products. Cashews are particularly rich in the mineral magnesium that is important for delaying age-related memory loss. Generally, cashews are known for delaying or preventing aging. Another important vitamin contained in cashews is vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which is six times higher than the vitamin C content of a lemon or an orange. Traditionally, cashew nuts were perceived as unhealthy due to their high fat content. However. The majority of fat is unsaturated, healthy fat that is better metabolised and that helps to boost your energy. The unsaturated fatty acids of cashews provides many health benefits such as protection against heart disease and cancer. The real danger to the heart and the arteries is not posed by unsaturated fats but by saturated fats, which are found in animal products. The high monounsaturated fat in cashew kernels is also good for lowering blood glucose and improving insulin resistance. Therefore, it is also recommended for people with diabetes. Use cashews as snacks or to make cheese or for a delicious pasta sauce!
